Eli is an experienced guitarist who embarked on his teaching journey in 2023. With a passion for music and a strong background in various genres, he offers comprehensive guitar instruction for beginners to early advanced students.
Eli has a rich background in big band jazz guitar, as well as folk guitar. Alongside these genres, he is able to effectively teach pop, country, rock and roll, metal, and experimental styles. During his time at Davis High School, Eli played guitar with the Jazz band for 4 years.
Beyond teaching, Eli is an accomplished musician actively involved in various musical endeavors. He has composed music for two short films, currently performs as a guitarist in a family folk band, and contributes as a bassist and songwriter in another ensemble. Additionally, he is currently engaged in the creation of electronic compositions for a video game.
When meeting a new student, Eli initiates the learning process by understanding the student's motivation for playing guitar, and based on their aspirations, he sets personalized goals. By incorporating this philosophy, Eli ensures that students feel empowered and in control of their learning experience.
