Janet is a seasoned piano teacher who has taught private lessons for over 20 years. She is a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music and a member of the Utah Music Teacher Association where she currently serves as Performance Evaluation chair for the Sandy Chapter. She continues her music education by taking private lessons, attending educational conferences, and online music study.
She believes that everyone has the potential to succeed at playing the piano when given the correct learning environment, tools and a desire to put in the work to develop these skills. Each student has their own unique way of learning and she structures her lessons according to individual needs and desires. Music allows students to creatively express themselves and builds self-confidence.
Janet is committed to helping to encourage and motivate students to develop a love for music through a positive learning environment by developing their skills in technique, theory, ear-training sight-reading and performance.
