KC is a drum instructor specializing in teaching all genres. They have been teaching drums since 2018. With a background in Punk, Jazz Fusion, Pop, and Hip Hop, They teach at any skill level from beginner to advanced. KC has been performing live and recording as a session musician and artist in the SLC music scene since 2017 with experience in touring the western US with various artists, as well as experience in playing in Drumline and other ensembles. They have been playing drums since 2010 and started out self taught then later took lessons and joined ensembles and bands. KC’s approach to music and drumming is open to however each student learns best. With their background being both, a self taught musician and with formal lessons, they are flexible to students who learn by reading notation and transcribing, or to students who learn best by ear. They are passionate about drumming and music and love to help students get to a point in their drumming that they are able to express themselves creatively behind the drum kit.
