Landon Herrud began violin lessons at age 6 and has studied privately for 12 years, alongside 6 years of orchestra participation. His music education includes many superior ratings at state-level competitions and awards from the Suzuki program, complemented by tours and victories with his high school orchestra. He began teaching violin in 2025 and also plays guitar, viola, and other instruments. Though new to formal teaching, Landon draws from extensive personal experience and a two-year church mission to connect with students. Specializing in classical and fiddle styles, Landon emphasizes strong fundamentals while fostering discipline, confidence, patience, and goal-setting. His teaching philosophy centers on creating a positive, encouraging environment where students enjoy learning and develop skills beneficial beyond music.
