Lee

Piano | Draper

Lee comes with a variety of experience as both a professional musician and private teacher. He holds both a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education, as well as a preliminary teaching credential from California State University, Fullerton, and has taught private piano at both the Yamaha School of Music and out of his own home. Lee is a seasoned soloist as well as accompanist, with over 25 years experience as a church organist and choir accompanist. He has also accompanied varying soloists and choirs, at both the amateur, as well as professional level. Some notable ensembles include The Paul McNeff Singers and Outreach Ensemble, Sherry Kloss (the last apprentice to Jascha Heifitz), Robert Becker (former principal violist of the Pacific Symphony Orchestra), Cathy Rigby. Lee has also played solo piano for Nordstrom, as well as for the Ritz Carlton hotel in Dana Point California. As a teacher, Lee loves to work with each student to bring out their unique voice, and encourage them to be the very best that they can be. Although Lee's predominate genre is classical, the most important thing that Lee strives for his students is that each one walks away with not only secure knowledge of the musical art, but also an overall love of and appreciation for all styles of music. His lessons are enjoyable and encouraging, as Lee believes that music making should be a positive experience.

“Music in itself is healing. It’s an explosive expression of humanity. It’s something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we’re from, everyone loves music.”
- Billy Joel
