Mikkel has been teaching Since 2022. He started drumming when he was eight and has been playing in ensembles since he was 10. By the time he was 15 he was playing Caleb Chapman’s Crescent superband where he received downbeat awards for his time at the Caleb Chapman sound house and first recordings with the Caleb Chapman Crescent Superman. During Covid, he continued to play more on his own time. He started playing with the band English Budgies in 2021. He then left that band, joined the band Sunfish, and toured with them for eight months. After eight months with Sunfish, Mikkel returned home and quit and focused on practicing and teaching. He then joined a band called another quiet morning with a local musician, Caden Abilla. He played with them for a year. After playing with another quiet morning, he joined a band no and he also was helping fill in for a band called jamboree. That has now disbanded. Mikkel has also been playing pop music since 2021 with a band called the Bose playing with electronic backing tracks and a pop setting.
