Thanh

Piano | Salt Lake

Thanh began her musical journey at the Conservatory of Music in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, where she studied piano since 2000. In 2016, she earned a Bachelor of Design in Digital Media from RMIT Vietnam University, where English was the primary language of instruction. Alongside her love for traditional piano, she enjoys experimenting with digital music production and creating piano covers, some of which are currently streaming on well-known platforms like YouTube, Spotify and Apple Music. In 2021, she earned a certification in Developing Your Musicianship Specialization from Berklee x Coursera, further deepening her understanding of music theory and performance. Since 2009, she has been teaching piano, helping students of various ages and backgrounds develop their technical skills, creativity, and musical expression. Beyond teaching, Thanh is also a freelance piano performer. She has played in several hotel lobbies in Vietnam, as well as for events and wedding venues, and is eager to continue performing in the new community. As an educator, she believes that learning piano is both rewarding and challenging, requiring patience and consistent practice. She encourages open communication, ensuring that students feel comfortable expressing their thoughts and asking questions. Understanding that every student learns differently, she tailors her lessons to individual strengths and learning styles, fostering a supportive environment where students can develop confidence and a lifelong love for music. Looking ahead, Thanh plans to pursue further education in Music Teaching to continue growing as both a musician and an educator.

“Music in itself is healing. It’s an explosive expression of humanity. It’s something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we’re from, everyone loves music.”
