Sam

Piano, Voice | Draper, South Jordan, Salt Lake

Sam is an enthusiastic and dedicated musician. Throughout his entire education he has been a leader and consistently dependable performer. His love of the piano originated with listening to his mom teach lessons in the living room and learning songs from Pokemon/Zelda by ear. He earned his Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance degree from UVU in 2022. During his undergraduate studies, Sam was in marching band, glee club, a capella, musical theater lead roles, opera lead roles, private piano lessons, private choral conducting lessons, student conductor in choir, and more. In addition to piano and voice, Sam loves to compose, play trombone, recorder, drum set, and electric/acoustic guitar. As long as he's making music, he's happy. As a teacher, Sam is committed to providing inclusive, diverse, and holistic music instruction. He views lessons as developing equal parts musical technique and skills for life. Studies have proven that music can uplift, heal, and enrich our lives, which is why being a music teacher is Sam's absolute dream. Every student arrives at the studio with unique gifts and Sam loves to challenge them to fulfill their creative potential. If you're not having fun, you're doing it wrong!

“Music in itself is healing. It’s an explosive expression of humanity. It’s something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we’re from, everyone loves music.”
- Billy Joel
